Condolence From: Joan Thomson
Condolence: My husband, Alex Thomson, died in late February and our family gathered in late May for a Celebration of Life service. It was David who guided me through the intervening weeks with gentle sympathy, practical suggestions, and advice. His sensitivity was a welcome gift shown as he even managed to share good humour and a hand in friendship. His own health issues he refused to permit them to lessen his attention to details. The news of his passing I received by initially refusing to believe it.
Yes, a year has passed for me and for you, his family and friends. And no, the sorrow and sense of loss has not eased significantly for me nor for you I am sure. I will be honoured to share in any occasions to celebrate such men who lived life well.

Condolence: When my husband of 53 years of marriage recently died, it was your Dave who gave me strength to face the future alone. What a comfort he was and he so loved you all and talked about you warmly. I am so sorry that you are now facing that sense of disbelief and sorrow. I hope knowing how much Dave helped others will give you solace. B.J. Thomson
