Thomas Alphin “Tommy” Knick, age 70, of 205 Conner Lane, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor.
He was born March 27, 1948 in Clifton Forge to the late William and Beatrice Williams Knick. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, receiving the Purple Heart. He was a retired truck driver for Branch Highways and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Knick and Bill Knick.
He is survived by two daughters, Amanda Knick Ingram and Chea Knick, both of Clifton Forge; a sister, Melissa Knick Reid of Minnesota; a brother, Randy Knick and wife Joy of Clifton Forge; six grandchildren, Joshua Ingram, Austin Wilhelm, Sierra Wilhelm, Lindsay Ingram, Katina Ingram, and Mylee Ingram; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friend, Bobby Wilhelm of Clifton Forge.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Robert Smith and Reverend Grover Nicely officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Austin Wilhelm, C. R. Nicely, Daryl Nicely, Josh Ingram, Troy Knick, and Eric Knick. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
