Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of a loving husband, father and grand-father. Jean-Paul Désilets aged 78 after a brave battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. Cherished husband of Andrée for 55 years, dear father of Suzanne (Jeff), Claudette (Denis) and Chantal. Grandfather of Michelle (Brett), Brianne (Shane), Bradley, Cassandra and Meghan. Treasured brother of late Bernard (late Lucille), Roger (Paulette), late Roland, Denise (Art), Therese (Rosaire), Jeanne (Jim) and brother-in-law of Lise and Helene. Jean-Paul will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He was a Knights of Columbus Member of Council 5005, St. Jacques.
The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Jacques Parish, Hanmer on Friday, October 19th, 2018 at 10:30am followed by the funeral mass at 11am.
Interment in the Valley East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean-Paul’s name to the Northern Cancer Foundation or the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
