William J. Kelly, Sr. of New Britain, PA passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 77.
Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Thomas and Catherine Koenig Kelly, Bill resided in Philadelphia and Warrington, PA before moving to New Britain in 2001.
He was formerly employed with Bell Telephone of Philadelphia, PA for over 30 years, prior to his retirement. Bill was a US Army Veteran and a former member of the Albert R. Atkinson, Jr. American Legion Post 210 of Doylestown, PA. He was a handyman, artist, photographer, cook, baker and #1 sports fan for his grandchildren.
Bill was the beloved husband of 18 years to Diane Kelly; devoted father of William J., Jr.(Bonnie), Jill Kelly (Chev McQuade), and Thomas (Trish) Kelly; loving step-father of Jeffrey (Lisa) Kellogg and the late Robert Kellogg (survived by Kim); dear brother of Joseph (Eileen) Kelly, Sister Mary Karen Kelly, GNSH, and the late Paul Kelly (survived by wife Mary) and Tom Kelly; also survived by fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 on Saturday, October 6th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. A funeral mass will follow at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914 at 2:00 pm.
Private Cremation services will follow.
