Della Marie Chasteen, 58, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018. Born in Lexington, KY she was the daughter of John William Chasteen and the late Della Rose Poindexter Chasteen.
At an early age, she was an accomplished violinist and extended her love of music as she grew older. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, darts, bowling being with friends telling stories and making others laugh.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her daughters, Natesha Clemons and Angela Carter; brother, William “Bill” Richard Chasteen; sisters, Sheila Jennings, Rhonda Stephens, Christy McIntosh, Tracy Evans and Kathy Humphries; and grandchildren, Amanda, Shayla, Wesann, Ezekiel, Asariah and Aiden. She is also survived by her dear friend Jim and her sweet dog, Sugar.
Graveside services will be 11 AM Wednesday at Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:45-10:45 AM Wednesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home.
