It is with great sadness that the family of Gwindolyn McRae King, 89, of Lexington, MS announces her passing on September 20, 2018 at Westside Terrace Nursing Home in Dothan, AL. She was born to the late Amma Gwin McRae and Maurice McRae in Lexington on November 27, 1928 and attended Lexington High School. She married Louis Alison King of Lexington on November 27, 1946. They lived for many years in Scott, MS before retiring to Lexington.

Gwindolyn worked for the United States Postal Service for twenty five years and was postmaster in Camden, MS when she retired. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington.

Gwindolyn is survived by four sons: Louis King Jr. of Cleveland, MS; James King of Dothan, AL; John King of Columbus, OH; and Andy King of Fayetteville, AR. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 11 AM at Southern Funeral Home in Lexington with visitation at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to French Camp Academy, French Camp, MS 39745.
