James C. Hammond passed away peacefully in his sleep August 23rd, 2018. Everyone who had a chance to know him will miss him deeply.

He was born February 8th, 1939 to the late Zealand and Biddie Hammond. He was also preceded in death by his brother Noble, wife Juanita and daughter Robin. Surviving him are his sons Steve and Scott (Lindsey). His two brothers Joe and Olen and sister Pansea Lee. Dad also leaves behind seven grandchildren and one great grandchild ranging of ages 1 to 28.
Mr. Hammond was a retired teamster, a loving father and all-around good friend to all who knew him. He was also an avid jeep enthusiast who loved to attend car shows. His favorite being the annual Doo Wop Rod and Run Show.

Dad leaves us all with a lot of valuable life lessons, that can be best summed up by "Don’t worry. Be Happy".
