Obituary for Olga L. Yuhas (Palmieri)

Olga L. Yuhas passed away at the age of 80 on April 3, 2015 in New London, CT after a short illness.

Born in Toronto, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Palmieri. Olga was also preceded in death by her brother Joseph Palmieri and her sister Rosemarie. She is survived by her five sisters, Connie (Randy) Marchi of Mechanicsburg, PA, Katherine Goodwin, Donna Casey and Diane Partenza, all of Westerly and Margaret Pantezzi of Vancuver, WA.

After moving to Yonkers in 1938 with her family, she graduated from Commerce High School and was married to George Yuhas. Olga lived in Wappingers Falls, NY and worked as a bookkeeper for 8 years, then moved to Southern California and worked for Century 21 real estate as an agent for 19 years. After the death of her husband George, she moved back east to be with her family and settled in Westerly, RI with her twin sister Katherine.

Olga was a caring and devoted sister and a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She cherished time spent with her family. She loved to golf, travel, knit, bowl and spend time at the beach. She had a love for animals, especially her Yorkshire Terriers.
Olga created many lifelong memories for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all.

Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 12 noon at Dunns Corners Community Church Presbyterian, 221 Post Road, Westerly. Reception to follow.
