Obituary for Lawrence A. "Larry" Italiano

Lawrence A. "Larry"  Italiano
Lawrence A. Italiano, of Salt Pond Way, Westerly, passed away at the Westerly Health Center on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the age of 93.

Born in Pawcatuck, he was a son of the late Dominic and Santa Italiano.

Larry was a Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force for many years until his retirement. A communicant of St. Clare Church, he was also a member of the Westerly Senior Center and the Harley P. Case VFW Post #1265.

He will be dearly missed by his niece, Carolyn DeMedeiros and husband Ademir, and nephew, Joseph DePerry and his wife Gayle; eight great nieces and nephews and seven great-great nieces and nephews. Larry also leaves his longtime companion, Anastatia Troyan. He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Frank, as well as two sisters, Mary DePerry and Rose Italiano.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 3-6pm in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday at 10am at St. Clare Church, Crandall Ave., Westerly. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Westerly Senior Center, 39 State St., Westerly, RI 02891 in Larry’s memory.
